Sun Dried Potato Chips

Instead of store-bought potato chips, sun-dried potato chips are a healthy and tasty option. By drying the potatoes slowly in a low-temperature oven, you keep their natural flavor and nutrients while giving them a satisfying crunch.

Ingredients:

  • 5 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • Optional: herbs and spices for seasoning such as paprika, garlic powder, or rosemary

Instructions:

Preheat your oven to the lowest setting, usually around 150F 65C

In a large bowl, toss the thinly sliced potatoes with olive oil, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated

Place the potato slices on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure they are in a single layer and not overlapping

If desired, sprinkle your choice of herbs and spices over the potato slices for added flavor

Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and let the potato slices dry out for 6-8 hours, or until they are crispy and golden brown

You can also leave them in the oven overnight

Once dried and crispy, remove the potato chips from the oven and let them cool completely before serving

Enjoy your homemade sun dried potato chips as a healthy and delicious snack!
