Baked Salmon Burgers

Instead of regular beef burgers, try these baked salmon burgers instead. They are both healthy and tasty. They taste great and fill you up because they are full of healthy omega-3 fatty acids and fresh flavors. The lemon zest, salmon, and dill in these burgers give them a fresh flavor that makes them great for a light but filling meal.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, skinless and boneless
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and avocado slices for toppings

Instructions:

Turn on your oven and heat it up to 375F 190C

Put the salmon fillet into a food processor with some small pieces

A few pulses should be enough to make the salmon chunky

Be careful not to process the meat too much; you want the burgers to have some bulk

Add breadcrumbs, chopped red onion, minced garlic, fresh dill, an egg, Dijon mustard, lemon zest, salt, and pepper to the salmon that has been processed

Until everything is well mixed

Cut the salmon mixture into four equal parts and form each one into a burger patty

Put the salmon patties on a baking sheet that has parchment paper on it

The salmon burgers should be baked in a hot oven for 15 to 20 minutes, or until they are cooked all the way through and have a light brown color on the outside

Place the whole wheat burger buns in the oven and toast them for a few minutes, until they are just barely crisp

After the salmon burgers are cooked, put lettuce leaves, tomato slices, and avocado slices on the bottom bun

Then put the baked salmon patty on top of that, and then the top bun

Right away, serve your tasty and healthy baked salmon burgers
